Milford Sound 🏔

We took a 4 hour couch to Milford Sound, where we boarded our little 2 hour boat tour of the fjord before a 4 hour coach back to Queenstown. The travel time was well worth it. We continuing to chase waterfalls. The pictures here really speak for themselves!

Whale Watching 🐳

To end our time in Kaikoura we embark on a whale watching expedition. Where along with a few seals, some birdlife and great weather, we see not 1 whale, but 2! The first was a more common sperm whale, but the second was a very rare southern beaked whale.
Mount Bruce

We returned to the redwood forest the day after our night time tree top walk, to both see the treetops in the day and do a trek on the ground.
Mitai Mauri Village

We visit the Mauri in their Mitai village, learning details about their culture from the reasons behind their tattoos to the Haka being used to prevent fighting. We ended the visit with a traditional hangi feast.

Redwood Night Walk

Wairere Falls

Day 2 of having morrison, we drive a short distance to Wairere Falls for a 90 minutes difficult hike. Well worth it for the stunning views at the top
Waiheke island
